OMAHA, NE, June 06, 2022 /24-7PressRelease/ — Hans Sigurd Lillegard has been included in Marquis Who’s Who. As in all Marquis Who’s Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
During the 1990s, Mr. Lillegard completed coursework in poetry at North Seattle College and in the Russian language at the University of Iowa and the University of Washington. Supported by his studies, he presently excels as a writer and translator. He has written nearly 40 short stories and numerous poems, including “Queens Prisoner,” which was published in 2000. He also published in Julien’s Journal a poem called ‘Signature Poem’ and a short story in Midwest Literary Magazine called ‘George’s Ford.’ He translated Leo Tolstoy’s short story ‘After the Ball’ after studying the language for only two and a half years.
Outside of his work in the field, Mr. Lillegard aligns himself with Disability Rights Nebraska and the Nebraska Writers Guild. Dedicated to those less fortunate, he is a frequent donor to the Legal Aid of Nebraska, has volunteered for the Catholic Worker, and supports the local Policemen’s Association and Oxfam International.
In accounting for his success, he credits his commitment to diligence, as well as his willingness to sacrifice for his work. Looking toward the future, Mr. Lillegard aims to continue writing and publishing his work. I was recently assigned in The Missouri Review.
